Yoga Wellness Retreat with Janet and Adi

Join Adi Westerman and Janet Horn Miller for a 7 days/6 nights rejuvenating yoga retreat in Puerto Morelos, Mexico… just 20 minutes south of Cancun. This safe, quaint beach town is a gem in the Caribbean and features the 2nd largest barrier reef in the world.
The retreat will be held at Casa Om- a beautiful yoga retreat center 15 miles south of Cancun.
This is a great opportunity to unplug, relax, swim, snorkel/scuba, walk on the beach, SUP, yoga, meditation, explore ruins, and more. We will lead at least yoga classes each day and offer amazing workshops (yoga, body mechanics, wellness/nutrition) for those interested. You will have plenty of time to join in group activities OR do your own thing!
All you need is a bathing suit, shorts, yoga outfit, flip flops…Many meals included and they provide yoga towels and do your laundry after yoga class each day!

***Cancellation Policy*** If you need to cancel we will do our best to find a replacement for your booking. If a replacement is found your payment will be refunded less the $500 deposit and processing fees. Full payment must be paid by Feb 15th, 2018. Some room types have limited availability and are on a first come basis.
Casa Om features 10 bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, a pool, a koi pond, 3 kitchens, and a 1000 sq foot (92 sq meters) yoga room suitable for all types of yoga including hot yoga.
The yoga room can fit 40 yogi’s comfortably and has mirrors, heaters, a sound system, mats, towels, blocks, straps, blankets and chairs. Each bedroom has air conditioning and fans and free WIFI as well. 1 minute walk to the beach and 10 minute walk from restaurants, a grocer and coffee shops.
Excursions to the cenotes, playa de carmen, tulum, …. can all be arranged and will be offered as a group to anyone interested.
Casa Om offers a full gourmet kitchen. All dishes are prepared with a healthy yogic lifestyle in mind. We offer gluten free and vegan options as well.
The head chef, Eduardo, is a former restaurateur; he brings more than 10 years of professional cooking experience to Casa Om. He is passionate about food and his cooking classes are a favorite amongst our visitors. Those passionate about cuisine will find a like-minded soul.
There are lots of restaurants to choose from within walking distance for the nights we don’t have dinner and to grab lunch or snacks.
When you take class from Adi, you will immediately notice her keen eye for form and alignment. The underlying message in her classes is about listening to your body. She reminds us to use the form as a means to meditate and be in the moment in order to let go of stress and emotional baggage. Adi leads Hot 26, Hot 26 PLUS and Hot Power Flow Classes in Asheville, NC. Adi Westerman is the owner of Hot Yoga Asheville and has over 16 years of practice in hot yoga and has been teaching for 12 years. Her studio has been voted Best Yoga Studio in WNC for 9 years in a row, and she was voted Best Yoga Teacher in WNC in 2017.
She is also a mother of 2 young girls and has used her practice to repair and heal after two unplanned cesareans. Her husband, Matthew, will join us on the retreat and will lead personal empowerment sessions.
In Janet’s classes you will feel supported and loved. Janet has a way of making everyone feel right at home and comfortable. With a background in dance and body movement, she understands body mechanics and thrives in her teaching when all types of yogis are present. 30 years teaching dance, gymnastics, theater and yoga in Japan, Los Angeles, CA and Asheville, NC. She has a BFA in Theater and Dance from ECU, has been a certified yoga teacher since 1997 and owned several schools, camps and studios in addition to training many other teachers. She holds certifications from Duke School of Integrated Medicine in Yoga for Seniors, she has been a Bikram Yoga College of India teacher since 2005, she is certified in Mini Yogis since 1997 and most recently completed Vimana Vinyasa Teacher training in 2015. Janet is former co-owner and founder of Hot Yoga Asheville. Dr. Don Miller, Janet’s husband, is a licensed practicing physical therapist and will lead body mechanics workshops with us. She is the owner of Yes Yoga in Shelby, NC.

Dr. Miller graduated from The Chicago Medical School University of Health Sciences in 1987 with a B.S. in Physical Therapy, and received his Certification as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) from the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Dr. Miller worked in a clinic located in the Chicago Bull’s training complex. He also served as Strength and Conditioning Specialist to the Chicago Black Hawks and provided rehab services for members of Chicago’s NHL, NBA, MLB and NFL franchises.
In 1990, Dr. Miller relocated to Menlo Park, CA. where he served as the team physical therapist for the San Jose Sharks of the NHL and worked with many Olympic and professional athletes.
Dr. Miller moved to Shelby, North Carolina and founded Cleveland Physical Therapy Associates in 1994.
During the past 30 years, Dr. Miller has completed numerous continuing education courses, earned three different degrees in Physical Therapy and multiple specialty certifications. In 2015, Don completed the Duke Integrative Medicine Yoga Teacher Training for Seniors. In 2016, he completed the Vimana Vinyasa Yoga teacher’s training as well as an immersion into Bikram Yoga with Janet.
Most recently, Don completed a 12-month, APTA-accredited AAMT Fellowship in Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists and in March of 2017 earned the prestigious FAAOMPT credential and Diploma of Osteopractic.
While in college he participated in wrestling, football and powerlifting and regularly practices yoga today as part of his fitness regime.
