This will be Adi’s 6th visit to Puerto Morelos and Stacy’s 2nd so we know all the ins and outs of this town. One reason we keep going back is the awesome laid back energy. The weather is nearly perfect in December and the location, food, art fairs are incredible. We will truly dive into our yoga practice and into our hearts while enjoying sunshine, pool, beaches, fresh fruit and more.
We’ve rented Casa Om as well as the Dive Lodge. The kids yoga classes and babysitting will happen at the dive lodge. The adult programming will be at Casa Om. It is all very nearby.

Private King Oceanview RoomLocated on the second story across the street from Casa Om at The Dive Lodge (retreat leaders families staying here), with direct views of the sunrise, this tastefully decorated thatched-roof room features a king size bed, and spectacular views of the Caribbean. Adi Westerman | Co-Leader
Expect fun music, high energy classes, and a fun sweaty time in Adi’s classes. You will be in good hands. The underlying message in her classes is about listening to your body. You will find that you want to work hard in her class and at the same time you will always feel encouragement to listen to your body and be in the moment. Adi reminds us to use the form as a means to meditate and practice presence in order to let go of stress and emotional baggage. Adi leads Hot 26, Hot 26 Plus and Hot Power Flow Classes in Asheville, NC and leads Hot 26 Plus trainings around the US. Adi Westerman is the owner of Hot Yoga Asheville and has over 18 years of practice in hot yoga and has been teaching for 13 years. Her studio has been voted Best Yoga Studio in WNC for 10 years in a row, and she was voted Best Yoga Teacher in WNC in 2017 and 2018.
Stacy Fiano | Co-Leader
Stacy Fiano’s classes will leave you feeling energized and strong. She incorporates creative sequencing and strength training into her power flow classes which will empower you from the inside out. She brings a calm intensity to her classes so you work smart. You will feel supported and guided by a very experienced yogi throughout class. Stacy has trained in multiple forms of yoga including Vinyasa, Bikram, Barkan and more. A dedicated yogi and lover of all hot yoga through and through.
Kim Gentry | Kid’s Program
Kim has planned THE BEST Kid’s Program for our retreat! Kim Gentry has over fifteen years experience working with children. In her younger years she spent her summers working for a local Girl Scout camp. She attended Appalachian State University in the inter-disciplinary studies department and her concentration studies was in environmental experiential education. So when working with children she incorporates the different senses to help children learn. Kim has worked many years as a professional nanny to numerous families in Denver, Colorado and Asheville, North Carolina. She has been an event nanny in which she ha watched groups of children for events like weddings and birthday parties. Kim Also loves music and dance. She is formally trained in dance. She incorporates this on the yoga mat. Kim is trained in a Kids yoga style that incorporates play, games, songs and fun to create well rounded classes.
CASAOM
Casa Om features 10 bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, a pool, a koi pond, 3 kitchens, and a 1000 sq foot (92 sq meters) yoga room suitable for all types of yoga including hot yoga.
The yoga room can fit 40 yogi’s comfortably and has mirrors, heaters, a sound system, mats, towels, blocks, straps, blankets and chairs. Each bedroom has air conditioning and fans and free WIFI as well. 1 minute walk to the beach and 10 minute walk from restaurants, a grocer and coffee shops.
Excursions to the cenotes, playa de carmen, tulum, …. can all be arranged and will be offered as a group to anyone interested.
FOOD
Casa Om offers a full gourmet kitchen. All dishes are prepared with a healthy yogic lifestyle in mind. We offer gluten free and vegan options as well.
The head chef, Eduardo, is a former restaurateur; he brings more than 10 years of professional cooking experience to Casa Om. He is passionate about food and his cooking classes are a favorite amongst our visitors. Those passionate about cuisine will find a like-minded soul.
There are lots of restaurants to choose from within walking distance for the nights we don’t have dinner and to grab lunch or snacks.
OPTIONAL EXCURSIONS:
Snorkeling Puerto Morelos
Head to the beach and catch the boat to one of the largest coral reefs in the world!
Swim with turtles, lion fish, manta rays, sting rays, coral reef and fish of all types and
colors. Enjoy the sea breeze, relax on the boat and soak up some sun in this 2 1⁄2
hour adventure. Cost is $25 per person.
Hike the botanical gardens
Just 5 minutes by taxi take a 3 km ride to the botanical gardens for a nice walk in the
shade as you explore beautiful gardens, look for spider monkeys, discover rugged
temple ruins, catch a lookout and cross a swinging bridge. It takes about 90 minutes
for this local adventure. The cost is $20, and includes transportation. Please note,
tickets are bought at the entrance and are not provided by Casa Om. We will provide
the transportation there.
Cenote Zapote
A Cenote is a natural pool of water resulting from the collapse of limestone bedrock
that exposes groundwater, creating the perfect exotic swimming pool. Come with us
to Cenote Zapote where we will zipline into them and test our fears as we jump into
the unknown. The Cenote is 25 minutes from Casa Om and the cost is $35 per
person. This includes transport to and from the Cenote as well as admission. Allow 3
1⁄2 hours for the complete adventure.
Akumal
Known for its sea turtles directly on the see in Akumal, it is a fantastic place for
snorkeling. Go at your own pace, this beautiful slice of nature is the perfect setting
those that want to snorkel just a bit and hang with friends a lot. Allow about 6 hours.
The cost is $60 per person and includes transportation and snorkel equipment.
Minimum participants required are 5 people.
Tulum Ruins
Two hours away south of Puerto Morelos is Tulum, which was one of the main
ceremonial centers of the ancient Mayans. Today, the archeological site is one of the
more visited locations of the Riviera Maya.
Its dramatic location and turquoise mythic waters will not disappoint any
expectations.
Cost: 60 USD per person.
Minimum participants required are 5 people, alternatively if there are 5 or less
people, the price is $70 per person.
Ek Balam
Ek ́ Balam is one of the ancient, better and more recently restored Mayan cities in
the area. You can rent a bike to ride across the jungle, go on top of the main pyramid
and visit a refreshing Cenote full of geological formations and a very fun zipline.
It’s only a 2 hour drive from Puerto Morelos, and on the way you can also visit the
colonial town of Valladolid.
Cost is $100 per person.
Cobá
The Coba Archaeological Site is one of the most amazing Mayan ruins you will find in
the Yucatan Peninsula. This is a place you should visit when taking a vacation in the
Yucatan Peninsula.
Coba’s urban sprawl covered during its heyday (750 AD) a total area of about 40
square miles and is one of the Mayan cities built in the Peten style characteristic of
the late Classic period. The cost is $60 per person. Minimum participants required
are 5 people, alternatively if there are 5 or less people, the price is $70 per person
Avelino – Mayan healer- Max bookings per day – 6 people
Avelino is a very respected Mayan healer who has developed his gifts of healing
from an early age. He specializes in unlocking the body and balance, while also
helping release memories and emotions that keep you from being happy. Another of
his specialties is Mayan medicinal herbs and their uses in healing, especially with
the “Renaissance and Purification Therapy.” He uses other ancient healing
techniques. Avelino May Xul, practices energetic healing techniques rooted in Mayan
culture. He comes to Casa Om one day a week, by appointment only, so please let
our manager know in advance.

Thanks to the Coral Reef, Puerto Morelos has excellent water conditions allowing you to enjoy this friendly exercise while contemplating on an unusual panorama off the shore. It will just take you a few hours, but the silence alone, above the water might be exactly what you need. Just ask us and we will set it up for you. $20 and up
