The Greater Good

Important message from Adi

Hey guys!

It’s Adi again from Hot Yoga Asheville.

Over the last week our world has experienced a tremendous amount of shift and awareness around Covid 19. I have done my very best to stay on top of information as it develops. Many of you have voiced a tremendous amount of love and support to me and I truly appreciate each of you.

I am faced with one of the most difficult decisions I’ve had to make as a studio owner – whether to stay open, or close for the greater good. Unfortunately I have finally come to the clear conclusion that for now, we need to temporarily close the studio. We will close for at least the next week and reassess as new information becomes available.

The truth is, I don’t know and I cannot know what is going to happen from here. But I do feel that I have a personal sense of responsibility to keep our amazing team, myself, and all of you safe and healthy. The decision is not an easy one but I know that I would feel simply awful and epically irresponsible if anything were to happen at our studio.

While I would love for the studio to stay open, I know it is my obligation to our HYA community, and the greater community at large to do my part in helping to “flatten the curve.”

This is about proactively helping to prevent further spread to those who are at high risk from this disease. Often those at the highest risk are individuals that already suffer from marginalization and are disproportionately effected by situations like the one we are currently facing.

Many of you have told me that you’ll do anything to get your yoga right now, and I’m excited to announce that we are working diligently to bring you online classes that you can join in from home.

All of our digital content will be included in your memberships, and we sincerely hope to keep your support. As a small business, your memberships are what will ensure that we can resume with classes when all this passes. We are deeply grateful for your continued support during this difficult time, your membership is what keeps this small business going.

All our members will have access to our videos via private links. Please stay tuned for more detailed announcements as we will be rolling out the first of our digital content over the next couple of days.

I know that your yoga practice keeps you feeling good and that helps relieve the anxiety of the current situation, so I hope that you will join us. And in the spirit of what we always do at HYA, expect some fun challenges to come with our online launch.

In the meantime, Stay calm, stay healthy and get outside.  Fresh air and sunshine are the best medicine. Be on the lookout as we’ll be sending more information soon about our virtual offerings and other pertinent information.

I love y’all and will miss seeing your faces.

Love you and see you soon,
Adi
